"New York City's 29,000 acres of parkland house a bounty of natural wonders and area refuge for countless animals and animal-lovers.  Highlands to Ocean is a masterful guide to the marshes, bird sanctuaries, bodies of water, and other natural elements within our parks and without that define the metropolitan area.  H2O gives us a clear-eyed account of the precious habitats that intertwine with our own.  In publishing this book, Hiss and Meier have done a great public service." -  Adrian Benepe, New York City Commissioner of Parks and Recreation

Tony Hiss, co-author of H2O with Commissioner Adrian Benepe, a member of the host committee for the H2O launch event
